Celebrate the holiday season all across Jackson, TN, with festive parades, holiday shopping, live performances, and more! There are plenty of events in Jackson that you won’t want to miss.

This Week: December 2 – December 7, 2024

• 2024 City of Jackson Christmas Parade (December 2, 6:30 PM) Kick off the holiday season with the City of Jackson, TN Christmas Parade! Festivities start with the tree lighting at 5:15 p.m., followed by the parade at 6:30 p.m. Grand marshal Steve Bowers, TN Radio Hall of Famer, will lead the celebration. Register floats by Nov. 22 at connect.jacksontn.gov.
• Ladies Night Out: Sip and Shop (December 5, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM) Join the festivities at Ladies Night Out: Sip and Shop, supporting The Dream Center! Bring a $5 donation or a non-perishable food item and get ready to sip, shop, and celebrate the holiday spirit!
• Holiday Arts Social (December 5, 5:30 PM) Don’t miss the Holiday Arts Social at Havner’s Frame Shop! Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, local art shopping, and warm drinks from Turntable Coffee Counter while celebrating the season. Support the Jackson Arts Council by donating art.
• Santa Returns to Downtown Jackson (December 6-7) Visit Santa at his house in Downtown Jackson near City Hall, 101 East Main Street! This free event is open to all on Dec. 6 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Dec. 7 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
• A Union Christmas (December 6, 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM) Celebrate the season at A Union Christmas, the annual musical gift to the community! Join Union University for an evening of festive music and holiday cheer.
• The Polar Express at the Casey Jones Museum (December 6-7, 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM) Experience the magic of Christmas at The Polar Express at the Casey Jones Museum! Enjoy games, crafts, meet Santa, ride the engine, and indulge in free cookies and hot chocolate. Don’t forget to visit the Gift Shop for holiday treasures!
• Christmas at the Walk (December 7, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM) Don’t miss Christmas at the Walk, a festive shopping extravaganza featuring artisan vendors! Discover the perfect gifts for everyone on your list while supporting your favorite local brands. Enjoy delightful sips and snacks from Turntable Coffee Counter, and celebrate the season by shopping local!
• Pictures and Pancakes (December 7, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM) Celebrate the season at Century Farm Winery’s Pancakes & Pictures event! Enjoy a festive pancake meal and a special five-minute photo session with Santa. Each $50 ticket covers a family of four and includes a delicious pancake meal, a photo session, and a gift from Santa. Additional children can join for $25. Secure your spot today!
• Christmas Around the World Holiday Pops (December 7, 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM) Kick off the holiday season with The Jackson Symphony’s Christmas Around the World Holiday Pops. This festive annual concert will celebrate diverse holiday customs along with hometown favorites and American classics, creating a magical experience for all ages.

Looking Ahead: December 8 – December 15, 2024

• Sippin’ with Santa (December 8, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM) Join Hub City Brewing for Sippin’ with Santa, a festive holiday event for the whole family! Capture magical memories with Santa for $30 (5 digital pictures), while parents enjoy a brew in a cheerful atmosphere. No reservations needed—don’t miss out on the holiday fun.
• Santa Returns to Downtown Jackson (December 12-14) Visit Santa at his house in Downtown Jackson near City Hall, 101 East Main Street! This free event is open to all on Dec. 12 and 13 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Dec. 14 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
• Santa Visits the Old Country Store (December 13, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM) Santa will roam the Old Country Store, spreading holiday cheer! Guests of all ages are invited to share Christmas wishes, take photos, and create unforgettable moments with Santa during his visit.
• Christmas at the Carnegie (December 13, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM) Celebrate the holiday season at Christmas at the Carnegie! Enjoy performances by Hub City Theatre Co, an artist demonstration, and live Christmas music from local musicians. Savor hot chocolate and holiday treats while mingling, and don’t miss the exciting giveaway! Everyone is welcome, and the event is free.

• The Nutcracker (December 13-15) Experience the magic of The Nutcracker with Ballet Arts! Join Clara and friends on December 13–15. Tickets ($25–$35) available online or at the box office. Limited Tea Party seating available.
• The 9th Annual LOLO Christmas Show & Gospel Brunch (December 14-15) Celebrate Christmas at the 9th annual LOLO Christmas Show and Gospel Brunch, benefiting RIFA’s Snack Backpack ministry! This year features three shows: Gospel Brunch performances on December 14 and 15 at 11 AM, with live shows starting at noon, and a “Not So Silent Night” evening performance on December 14. Enjoy holiday spirit, music, raffles, and auctions!
• Ugly Holiday Sweater 5K & 1 Miler (December 15, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM) Join Fleet Feet of Jackson, TN for a festive 5K or 1-Mile Run/Walk benefiting Isaiah 117 House, supporting children in foster care. Bring a toy, item from the list, or donate $10 to participate. Wear your ugliest holiday sweater and help make a difference!
