Jackson: Hidden Tracks is excited to announce the judges for the Tennessee Songwriters Week Qualifying Round on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at The Carnegie Center for Arts and History. The event will feature 20 songwriters competing for a spot in the Semi-Finals at Lafayette’s Music Room and a chance to perform at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.
The judging panel includes Ray Barnette, David McCall, and Lathan Warlick. Ray Barnette is an Emmy-nominated producer and classically trained musician who has worked with artists like Carl Perkins and Dolly Parton. David McCall, a Greenfield native and executive director of the Ned R. McWherter Performing Arts Center, has worked with performers worldwide, including NBC’s The Voice finalists. Lathan Warlick, a Jackson native, is a genre-blending artist known for his uplifting lyrics and collaborations with stars like Tyler Hubbard and Granger Smith, earning millions of streams and inspiring audiences worldwide.
The qualifying round will highlight original music, judged by these accomplished professionals. The event begins at 11:00 AM at The Carnegie Center for Arts and History, and admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot.
