SUMMARY:The Griot Collective of West Tennessee Poetry Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Griot Collective of West Tennessee and Lane College will celebrate National Poetry Month with award winning poet Major Jackson. Jackson will conduct a poetry workshop for students from Jackson State Community College\, Union University\, the University of Memphis-Lambuth and Lane College. At 6pm\, Jackson will give a reading of his work\, followed by a Q&A. \nThis event\, made possible by the Tennessee Arts Commission and the Jackson Arts Council\, is free and open to the public.
