This event is open to all skill levels who like to run, walk, or a combination of both! The race kicks off when you are ready to go any day between May 15th and May 22nd, either on a treadmill around your neighborhood, or any course you choose. You can log your time at any point during the week. We encourage everyone to complete your miles on May 20 in spirit of celebrating World Bee Day! If you would like to complete your 5K on May 20th, we encourage you to come out to Pinson Mounds State Park and use the 5K course we have created at the park! Runners who complete their 5K at the park will be able to pick up their finisher medal between 8:00am- 4:30pm. We encourage all runners to register before May 5 to be guaranteed a finisher medal. Virtual 5K: The registration fee is $25. This fee includes a virtual bib, finishers medal, and a certificate for donating to the Honey Project. This fee includes a virtual bib, finishers medal you will receive on May 20th when you complete the course at the park, and a certificate for donating to the Honey Project. Runners can start the route either at the Museum Parking area or the Group Camp Parking area. To complete the 5K, take the route once. The Duck Nest trail is a turn around. At Mound 28, you must take the trail that goes behind the Mound. Craft and Educational booths will be available in the Event Area from 10:00am-3:00pm.The museum will be open from 8:00am-4:30pm.
