Join our rangers at the museum for a short hike around part of the park, exploring the nature and history of the area. Don’t forget to bring your water bottle and a pair of comfy shoes!
Sunday, May 26th
2 pm- Why is Pinson Special?
Come have a chat with our Seasonal Interpretive Ranger Madlyn about why Pinson Mounds is so special. Meet at the museum auditorium.
Monday, May 27th
1pm- Native American Spear Throwing
Join our rangers behind the museum to learn about the history of the Atlatl, an ancient weapon used to throw spears, and try one out for yourself!
3pm- Swamp Friends!
Snakes, Turtles and Frogs, Oh My! Join our rangers in the Museum Auditorium to learn about some of the wonderful critters found in Pinson Mounds’ Swamps, and meet our own swamp friends: Sakima the Kingsnake and Frankie the Red-Eared Slider.
