Hardin County to celebrate July 4 with a Banging Blowout!
Hardin County will celebrate the Fourth of July with a stunning fireworks display, beginning at 9 p.m. on THURSDAY, July 4. Fireworks will be shot from the Pickwick Landing State Park Sandy Beach. In addition to the annual fireworks show, Hardin County Convention and Visitors Bureau will be broadcasting live with WKWX beginning at 7 p.m. with patriotic music and special guests’ interviews.
In addition to the 9pm show, the Friends of Pickwick Landing State Park will be hosting all day fun around the Lodge and circle beach area. Food and craft vendors will be set up as well as ranger-led activities.
Inside the park, spectators may enjoy views from around the Lodge area, Circle Beach, from the golf course hillside bank, the playground and shelter one hillside bank areas. The Circle will be closed to inbound traffic beginning at 6pm. Sandy Beach will be closed ALL DAY to ALL spectators. The dog park will be closed all day.
