To know Danny Hurst was to love him! He was full of life and loved this family like no other. Danny talked repeatedly for over a year that he wanted to do an Independence Day Family Celebration. Food, family fun day, and fireworks…. lots of fireworks. We lost Danny before he could make this happen. So in his honor, we will make it happen this year once again! Last year was a huge success and was exactly the way we wanted to honor Danny! And in true Danny fashion, we gotta go even harder this year! Safety is our biggest concern so Lakeview Church is donating the event space we need. Public parking will be in lower lot. Behind the church will be our food truck area! Tables and chairs will be provided on parking lot. We will have food and i hear snow cones and ice cream! We will have amazing bouncy houses, obstacle course, basketball shooting game ans back by popular demand – DUNKING BOOTH! And we are super excited that EPW wrestling will be doing a full on event with multiple wrestlers having big matches! Tons going on until fireworks finale! And this is the BIGGEST firework show around!!! The cost will be $10 for ages 11 and older, $5 for ages 2 to 10, under 2 years old will be free. This will include wrestling, obstacle course, basketball shooting game, 3 different bouncy houses and fireworks. Dunking Booth will be an additional $5 dollars for 3 balls (this is tough on the old folks in the booth). We will have 3 food trucks and 2 dessert trucks on hand (they set their own prices!) AND ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO THE CARL PERKINS CENTER FOR PREVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE IN MEMORY AND HONOR OF DANNY HURST JR. This is just another way to keep Danny’s memory alive!
