The City of Jackson, in partnership with Tennessee Homeless Solutions, First Methodist Church – Downtown Jackson, RIFA Jackson, and West Tennessee Healthcare Hope & Healing Foundation, is offering emergency services through a Temporary Warming Center for homeless men, women, and children during freezing weather. This warming center will be available from Monday, January 6, 2025, through Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
Temporary Warming Center Location: First United Methodist Church Mission Center (200 S. Church St., Jackson, TN). Individuals seeking shelter should arrive at the church by 5:00 PM.
The City of Jackson will extend additional emergency services to provide a Temporary Warming Center. On Friday, January 10, 2025, the following plan has been devised to provide a temporary warming center for those seeking aid. This warming center will be available from Friday, January 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM – Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 8:00 AM.
Temporary Warming Center Location: City of Jackson, TN Police Department Lobby (Main Entrance), 234 Institute St., Jackson, TN 38301
Supplies: Jackson Madison County Emergency Management Agency and the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department will provide cots and blankets, with an estimated maximum capacity of 30 at the FUMC Mission Center. Dinner will be provided by RIFA, in coordination with FUMC and other area churches.
