Tennessee Interscholastic Cycling League Brings 500 Middle and High Schoolers To Jackson For Second Year

The Tennessee Interscholastic Cycling League will hold their second race of the fall high school mountain biking season Sunday, September 8, 2024 on the Rockabilly Ridge trail system at Madison County’s Rockabilly Ridge at Pugh Bourne Park, 343 Oakfield Road.

Around 500 middle and high schoolers from all over TN are expected to race laps on the 3.5 mile off road loop. Races start at 9:00 am and continue until 2:00 pm.  Podiums (awards) will be at the conclusion of the races.

Course Set-Up begins Saturday morning, September 7, with practice continuing throughout the afternoon.

High school mountain bike racing is one of the fastest AND fastest growing sports in the US.  The Tennessee League is committed to providing a positive racing experience for all student-athletes. With a commitment to teaching safe riding practices, they believe forming interscholastic and club teams with a NICA trained coach is the best way for students to have fun and learn how to ride safely.
