Calling All Songwriters: Sign Up for the Tennessee Songwriters 2026 Qualifying Round in Jackson! 🎶
Visit Jackson, TN is excited to host one of the Tennessee Songwriters 2026 Qualifying Rounds on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Hub City Brewing. This event is a unique opportunity for local and regional songwriters to share their original music, compete for recognition, and take the first step toward statewide success. The competition runs from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, followed by a free concert by LOLO at 7:00 PM, and it is completely free and open to the public.
The Tennessee Songwriters Competition is a statewide initiative through the Tennessee Arts Commission, now in its 8th year, designed to celebrate and support original songwriting across Tennessee. One songwriter from the Jackson qualifying round will advance to the Semi-Finals in Memphis, with the potential to perform at the legendary Bluebird Café in Nashville. This competition provides a real pathway for emerging artists to have their music heard on a statewide stage, while also highlighting the incredible talent right here in West Tennessee.
Attendees can expect an afternoon filled with live, original music from 20 talented songwriters representing a variety of genres, from country and blues to folk and pop. Beyond the performances, Hub City Brewing provides a welcoming and fun environment where guests can enjoy craft beer, themed cocktails, and great food, all while supporting the local music scene. Even if you’re not performing, this event is the perfect opportunity to cheer on the next generation of Tennessee songwriters and experience a vibrant, community-focused music celebration.
